2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV
The 2008 Escalade features a fuel-efficient 6.2-liter
all- aluminum V-8 engine with variable valve timing
technology capable of delivering 403 horsepower and
417 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic
transmission with Drive Shift Control.
Additionally there is a new coil-over-damper front suspension
and rack-and-pinion steering, while the five-link live
rear axle is retained and refined.
Additional features include an enhanced four-wheel disc
brake system, factory installed 22-inch chrome wheels,
climate controlled front seats, power fold and tumble
second-row seats, remote auto-start, power articulating
running boards, power liftgate, and high intensity IntelliBeam
headlamps.
Los Angeles Magazine Splash says of ESV, "Cadillac
has improved and refined what could be the most desirable
SUV out there." GM plans to offer an Escalade Hybrid
which will feature GM’s two-mode hybrid propulsion
system combining gas and electric engines for significant
fuel economy improvements.
